Alexandria was a unique, gorgeous, superb Alaskan Malamute, with kidney disease. This blog is to celebrate her and other dogs and join them in living in the moment. Our dogs are with us for such a short time, and sometimes we get caught up in the day-to-day rollercoaster ride ... Let's enjoy the happy times and the special moments that make it all worthwhile.

This blog was begun to celebrate the life of my darling Allie, who succumbed at ca. 13 on August 28 2007 to kidney failure after a 2.5 year fight. Guerillera Alexandria was an Alaskan Malamute, adopted from Texas Alaskan Malamute Rescue at the age of approx. 6. Her specialty was killing possums, but she did not turn up her nose at squirrels, grackles, stray chickens, or any other prey that came her way. She represented TAMR at the Malamute National Specialty rescue showcase in Ogden, Utah in 2004, learned agility, and performed with a drill team in Austin. She often accompanied her humom to work, where she was beloved by all and made sure there was Malafluff in every room. Her full-time job was to be worshiped as Queen of the Universe. Allie was joined by several other foster Malamutes, two of whom stayed on: The Magnificent Ghost and the lovely late Rowan the Red. The newest member of the family is Miss Congeniality, a gorgeous adult lady adopted from TVAMAL. Missy and I moved to Maui in late 2010.
